AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) is the most modern and effective way to learn solo skydiving. Skydive Latvia trains to USPA and FAI standards.

Dates don't work?
You don't have to pick one of the scheduled groups. We run individual AFF groups throughout the season from May to September 2026 and can find dates that suit you. Sign up for the Theory course (€40) and our team will place you in a smaller group on convenient days. We arrange everything personally.

- After the theory, choose: First 3 levels (€840) or Full course (€1790).

Course structure and content
Theoretical training (Ground School)
- 4-6 hour intensive theory course.
- Safety procedures and equipment use.
- Freefall technique fundamentals.
- Canopy control principles.
- Emergency procedures.
- Price: €40 (theory course registration).
Practical training: 8-level programme
- Levels A, B, C: jumps with 2 instructors.
- Levels D-H: jumps with 1 instructor.
- Every jump from 4000 m.
- 60 seconds of freefall.
- A personalised approach for every student.
What's included and what's not
Included in the course price
- 8 AFF level jumps (one attempt per level).
- All necessary equipment.
- Instructor supervision and training.
- The theory course.
Not included
- Repeat jumps if a level is not passed.
- Medical certificate.
Student requirements
- Minimum age: 18.
- Weight limit: up to 100 kg.
You need a certificate from your family doctor or a sports doctor stating that there are no obstacles or diagnoses that conflict with skydiving. It must clearly state that you are allowed to skydive.
Certification
On successfully completing the AFF course, you receive:
- A certificate for solo jumps.
- An FAI (internationally recognised) licence.
- On request, a USPA licence (for an extra fee).
Note: completing the AFF course gives you the right to jump solo, but it is not an "A" category licence. Earning an "A" licence requires additional jumps and meeting further requirements.
How the course runs
- Registration for the theory course (€40).
- Submitting the medical certificate.
- 4-6 hour theory training (in groups of 4-5 people).
- Practical jumps (maximum 2-3 jumps per day).
- Video debrief after each jump.
- Certification after all 8 levels are successfully completed.
Repeat jumps: if a student does not meet a level's requirements, a repeat jump is needed for an extra fee.
